"Say what you do,
do what you say, show that you've done what you've said."
A well-known management-mantra,
very appropriate for twaddling at some boring seminar but other
than that... utterly useless. A more contemporary mantra, extremely
handy for squeezing out every ounce of labor from their lazy corpses,
is:
"Tell them what
you want them to do, make them do what you tell them and show
them what you will do to them if they don't show you that they've
done what you told them to do."
