Whenever you hear rumours or backbiting about one of them, immediately issue an eleborate statement, exactly repeating (quoting if possible) what you've heard. Make sure everybody gets his own copy, even send one to those on sick-leave or on holiday. Be sure to condemn such foul-play, compliment the objective on his achievements in an overdone and unprecedented way, leaving everybody with highly suspicious minds... if there's smoke there's bound to be fire, right?
