Surely the singlemost
superb example of the 80 - 20 rule: don't put any energy in things
that nobody notices but go all the way (and back) when you're
in the spotlights. In that way they don't see you very often but
every moment they do see you, you seem to be bursting with energy,
flair, power and freshness. Because the others are bleak and burned-out
(from always trying to go for the full 100 and never achieving
even half of that), the significant (and for them embarrasing)
difference between you and them will enhance furthermore; putting
the Lance Armstrong effect in a stunning spiral of them trying
harder and harder and failing more and more and you putting on
more sunlotion whilst putting for birdy, squeezing down your handicap
on your way to the PGA-tour.
